XDDD You know -- when I was a kid, my parents would tell me that the jelly I was eating was made out of turtle shells. And I was just like "Psh, you're just making up things to scare me. Like Santa Claus.". Imagine my shock later on. LOL The first time I had balut was with my Filipino boss at lunch. He was horrified that I actually wanted to open up the shell to see what the whole thing looked like before I happily scarfed it down. XDDD Yum. Tasted like egg-y dark meat chicken.
